Anime North is fast approaching and I…still don’t know what I’m wearing! Most of my costume plans have fallen apart due to my unfortunate inability to manage time, so I’ll probably be rewearing things all weekend. My brother’s costumes are done though, so he’ll be joining his Katamari brethren. I will be there all weekend, chilling, running around, hopefully not stressing out.
In other news, I now have a Twitter! You can follow me to see all of my random shenanigans and what-nots. If you’re not following me on Facebook, I also suggest you do so as most of my progress and costume updates go there first.
See you all at Anime North!
So first things first, of course, happy belated Easter to those who celebrated it this past weekend. Mine was…okay. Unfortunately, family drama gets in the way of enjoyment, most of the time. How nice to have everyone together for the holidays! ^^;
I’ve been toiling away the last little while on both here and on my fanpage. The site is getting closer to being done, with most of the costumes now up with their own pages. I plan to revamp the actual costume page once everything’s up, so I’m kinda looking forward to that. Meanwhile I’ve got progress photos and wig pictures over on my fanpage for a bit of fun.
Lastly, commissions for Anime North are closed. I’m still accepting commissions for July and beyond, and will keep you guys posted on when those deadlines are coming up.
I’ve had a few busy weekends here in Toronto. As mentioned in the last post, there was Beefcake/Cheesecake at As Astra. It was a huge success, and I look forward to taking part next year. 🙂
I also attended Hoobystar’s free ComicCon on the Sunday. It was pretty chill, managed to get a couple photos of my Ice costume, as well as snagging some pretty cool swag.
Last weekend I attended the Anime North Keep Toronto Reading event at the North York Public Library. It was also pretty chill, and I managed to finally get photos of my Ekans gijinka I made last year for Anime North.
Anyways, what this update is actually for… I now have a fanpage on Facebook! Please go check it out. 🙂
Hey guys! Just a quick journal to let you all know that I will (kinda) be at Ad Astra this weekend in Toronto!
I am there doing the Beefcake/Cheesecake event in my newly finished Jean Grey Black Queen costume.
If you’re attending the con, or otherwise in the area, you should definitely come check it out and support Casey House. There will be tons of lovely ladies, including Liana K and Naked News’ Katherine Curtis.
More information can be seen over here!
Wizard World has come and gone. It was a great con, and I’m looking forward to next year. I got some pretty cool swag and hung out with awesome people. On the Friday I wore my Batgirl costume (unmasked), and Saturday I debuted both Psylocke and my new Ice costume. They both went over super well, so I’m really happy with that.
I also have some progress on the costume I’m wearing for Ad Astra’s “Beefcake Cheesecake” event. For those unaware, I’m currently working on Jean Grey’s Black Queen outfit. I’ve got the bottoms made, the wig styled and my corset arrived today. I’m excited. 🙂
Until next time!
Hey guys! If you didn’t notice, I’ve got a temporary banner up that Stargazer was nice enough to whip up for me (you should check out his blog!). I’ve also got a bunch more costumes finally up on the costume page. It’s still taking a while since I have so many, but it’s getting there!
Also, if any of you are interested, I’ve got a couple costumes for sale up on my Facebook page. Please check them out, and feel free to pass them along. Right now they’re just taking up space. ^^; I’ve got a couple more I want to fix up and put on there (namely my Sailor ChibiMoon and Princess ChibiMoon), but I haven’t done it yet. Busy busy!
I’ve started getting some costumes up on the costumes page. It’s taking a while, since I apparently have so many costumes, but I’m working on it.
Still waiting on the banner, so it’ll stay…generic-winter-forest until then. Ah well.
Until next time!
It’s still coming together, bit by bit, but I’m pretty happy with it right now.
Things will continue to be tweaked over the next little while, but this is probably…the general look of things. For the most part at least. I’m still waiting on my header, which will hopefully be done in the next week or two, and I need to actually get the costumes page put together. That’s going to take a loooooot of work though.
My goal is to have this page together by the end of the week (with the exception of the header). Take a look around and let me know what you think!
This is going to be the future home of Olivia’s Atelier! It’s still in the process of getting things worked around, so don’t expect too much here. ^^;
