First off, my commissions are now OPEN! Things are a little different than they were before. I have opened five commission slots from now until the end of May. Once the slots are filled, I will be opening a waiting list and things will go from there. Hopefully this system works. There’s a possibility of more slots in June, or I may just work off the waiting list. I’ll update in a month or so, depending on whether or not the slots are filled.
I have updated my Contact Me page to now include a link to my Storenvy!
I also updated my neglected About Me page with new and recent details. The pictures still need to be changed, but that will come later.
Other than the commissions thing, the next biggest update is my Upcoming Events! I finally posted my tentative cosplay and convention schedule for the year. With Cosplay for a Cure, it’s possible that I’ll be attending more conventions, so please remember this is always subject to change.
I have new photos to post as well, but those will come in the next update. Until then, ta ta!
It’s tomorrow! I know I haven’t updated in a while, and I apologize. I’ve been updating the other sites and sorta keep forgetting to update here. I’ve still got more pictures to edit, and I’m also waiting on some other shoots. Soon! I did add more photos to my Ice costume though! The costume is also for sale, if you’re interested! Vindicator is also for sale!
My goal for the New Year are to be more active!
Merry Christmas! And Happy Holidays!
It’s been a busy month and a bit here since my last update. Started actually working at my job, and had commissions to catch up on. Here’s the breakdown!
Halloween: Going to the Silver Snail party again this year! Hoping my Little Sister dress is done in time, elsewise I’ll just wear the Splicer I made two days ago for the Zombie Walk. On that note, the Zombie Walk was yesterday. Here’s a quick photo of my Splicer.
Commissions! Still closed. There’s a possibility they will not be opening again in the New Year, or I will just be keeping them open for locals. If I were to do international sales, it would have to be under specific circumstances. (Former customers, for example, or fukus. I still need to sort out specifics.) This is because I’d like to focus more on my own stuff, as well as on my etsy store. Along with the fact that I can get a fair amount of business with people I know here. (There’s also less hassle with paypal and shipping that way.) But again, we’ll see.
More! I’ve got new costumes pages up. Loads since the last time I posted. As well, some old pages now have new photos. (Or, in some cases, photos I forgot to add.) There’s also more to come hopefully in the next month, as I did shoots at FanExpo and a private shoot that I’m also waiting on. I currently in the middle of editing photos of Odette, so check back in a week or so for those.
New Costumes/Costumes with New Photos: Underwater Neptune, Sailor Sailors, Velvet, Cammy, Query, Batgirl, Luna Lovegood, Tinker Bell, and Asami
So sorry I didn’t update before I left! There was such a whirlwind getting commissions done in time for FanExpo and Dragon*Con and then trying to magick another costume. I completely forgot until I was away from my computer that I hadn’t posted yet. o.o
First! Commissions! If I HAVE NOT responded, I apologize! They are staying closed for the time being while I figure out life stuff. If I HAVE responded, and we talked about quotes and deadlines, you’re fine and good. I really am sorry, but life takes precedence sometimes. (However, there are still things on my etsy!)
So FanExpo! Ended up being around all four days, though not for very long. Wore Sailor Neptune (for the last time before I tear it apart and redo the leotard) with Gill and Meg in the Sailors Uranus and Pluto costumes I made them. So happy. <3 Friday Gill and I quickly wore Fire and Ice for a shoot with Geek Girls. We were around for an hour before heading home to get ready for the G33kpron FanEx Kickoff party. Admittedly lots of drinking. I wore my Tinkerbell costume, sort-of. (I finished the dress, but don’t yet have wings, so they were just painted on, or a proper wig.) Saturday I magically made Chel from The Road to El Dorado (in 4 hours while people were sleeping) to go with Kyle as Tulio and Alex as Miguel. And that was awesome. Sunday I wore Sophie so I could finally get photos of that.
Photos will go up as I get them! For now, check out this awesome photo of Rachel in the Sailor Moon costume I made her!
And then immediately following was Dragon*Con!
Lots of things. Wore Gill’s Black Canary around partying Thursday night. Friday was Luna Lovegood with an AWESOME Harry Potter group, and then changing into Query for the Gotham shoot. Wore swimsuit Asami around partying that night. Saturday I wore Brave and the Bold Ice for a bit. Sunday was casual Hawkeye. I was having a bit of a rough weekend emotionally, so I wasn’t around and in costume too much unfortunately. Hopefully next year will be better!
As for future cons, it’s very possible that I am done for the year. I -might- try to make it to Youma, but I really don’t know. Currently focusing on Halloween and commissions, and then prepping the big guns. Next year is my 10th Anime North, so I want to make it count.
Until next time!
Always so busy! Welcome to summer, I guess.
Con Bravo went well! We raised $700 at our Cosplay for a Cure event, which is more than double our goal! Thank you to everyone for coming out!
Otherwise, I’ve been super busy trying to get commissions done for FanExpo and Dragon*Con, as well as trying to keep my store updated. Still dirt poor since I don’t start my job until Monday. So please take a look at that and my sales post!
On that note, commissions are now CLOSED until after Dragon*Con. After that, I might open them for some local Halloween commissions. If you’ve contacted me about a commission and received a quote, you are safe, and I’m still doing that for you. If you have not received a quote, I’m sorry, but I am unable to take anything else on right now. I’ve been super busy and haven’t been able to keep up with everything.
Lastly! I will be at the Toronto Island Cosplay Picnic this Saturday (weather permitting). I’ll be wearing Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle and hopefully get some nice photos of it, OR of Kokiri stuffs. We’ll see. 🙂
Atomic Lollipop has come and gone! It was awesome. I judged my first Masq, acted as a model in a life drawing panel, and also ran my first panel (Cosplay on a Dime!). On top of that, there was also drinking and partying fun, hanging out with friends, me freaking out on the Ferris wheel, and blanket forts. I wore Velvet on the Saturday and civvies on the Sunday (I had no desire to get into costume). I’ve got a picture up on my tumblr.
I’ve also been busy working on commissions and skirts trying to make money because I’m still suffering from unemployment and not starting my new job for nearly a month. I’ve got a big giant sales post on my DeviantArt as well as costumes and skirts for sale on my newly made etsy. It’d be a huge help if you’d take a look.
Also! I’m going to be closing commissions soon for a bit while I catch up on what I have. If you’ve already sent me an email about things, you’re good. I’m also thinking of focusing specifically on Sailor Moon costumes and doing those really well, instead of doing a whole bunch of things. Thoughts?
The next con I’ll be at is ConBravo this weekend, sporting Velvet and Cammy for our Cosplay for a Cure photo booth. Come by and say hi and support the great cause!
Lastly, preview shot of swimsuit Asami!
Anime North was awesome. For the first time in years, it was stress free, and I only cried when I went into shock the morning after dancing (dehydrated + freezing + hungover did terrible things to my body). Hung out with almost everyone I wanted to see, and that was awesome. Got pictures of the new costumes I wore up already! Also got everything else updated except for the handful of costumes I’m still missing pictures for.
Colossal was also awesome! Waterpark! Convoys! Sing-alongs! POOL BAR. Onesies! I’m a giraffe! POOL BAR. Dancing! Pool bar? I wore my Hawkeye vest around a bit at night, and my Asami bathing suit (pictures will be posted once I get them) during the day when I wasn’t otherwise in the pool.
And I am now unemployed!
I’m spending the next two weeks dogsitting and working on commissions, which should be exciting. Sort-of. I’ve got some figures and things for sale, if you are interested! And, there are still costumes for sale.
With Anime North almost over, I have free time once again to work on things!
So, commissions are now open for superhero and Sailor Moon costumes!
I’m going to have more details on approximate pricing up later, but I figured I’d let you guys know that these are now available.
I need TWO MONTHS from the time of payment received to have the costume ready and to you before your event within North America. I trust the postal system about as far as I can throw it, so please keep this in mind.
If you are interested in commissioning me, you canshoot me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Additionally, if you’re looking for some premade costumes, I do still have costumes for sale! These include my Speedy costume, as well as some of my old Pokemon costumes.
PAX East was last weekend and it was AMAZING. I met a whole bunch of lovely Bioware cosplayers, as well as some of the brilliant minds behind the games and had an all around amazing time. I was fortunate enough to borrow lightpriestess‘ Morrigan costume on the Friday of the con and had a great time. Being Morrigan has motivated me to not only get my butt in gear to finish Leliana, but I’ve also added Morrigan to my list. She’s one of my favourite characters, and I’m glad I’m able to do her justice. I also made the prototype for my Mass Effect N7 Armor inspired dress (worn by lightpriestess). If you are interested in getting one of these in the future, let me know! Best way to contact me is through my email (email@example.com), or you can check the Contact Me page on my website here.
Wizard World Toronto is tomorrow! I don’t know what I’m wearing, but I will be in the area. If I have the time to get my leggings remade, I’ll be in Black Widow II. If not, I haven’t gotten anything new done yet so…probably some form of Ice. We shall see!
So, the first con of the year for me has come and gone, and what a con. Rolled up around 1pm with Gill and Alex. Gill and I changed into our costumes and then wandered around to try to see everyone we hadn’t seen since June. I managed to get my Winter Olympics Peach costume done, and that went over great. It was lovely seeing so many people I haven’t seen in forever and just hanging out with friends. Definitely my favourite part of con. We originally weren’t planning on staying over, but we managed to get a room at the last minute to make things more enjoyable.
And then we partied the night away, I got to know some people better, make new friends and generally had an awesome time. I already can’t wait for the next one. I wish I could go to MTAC/MTCC to see people, but I’m stuck working, which is balls. I’m going to try to make it to PAX East though, which should be AWESOME, as well as Toronto Wizard World, of course.
As far as the website goes, other than some new shoots and costumes, the costumes section is up to date. Still waiting on my banner, but now that school’s started up, he’s having trouble making time for it. So hopefully that’ll be done sooner than later, but…meh. At least there’s something.
